Awards (Red Circle Hockey Club)

Fred Kilgour was elected President for the 2002-2003 season, spent many, many years as Treasurer, looked after the Select program, and was the key figure behind our Mite and Bingo programs. The Fred Kilgour Award of Merit was created in 2003 with Fred being the first recipient. This award is given yearly to the individual (not a player) who "exemplifies the ideals, spirit and enthusiasm that Fred contributed over his many years of service".

This Player Award is presented to a deserving player who has demonstrated dedication to the club through both play and volunteer service, helping to ensure that all players have a positive and enjoyable experience at Red Circle. To be eligible, the player must be 15 years of age or older, actively plays for Red Circle, and volunteer with the organization. The selected recipient will receive free registration for the next season.

This award is decided upon by all the coaches in the division and is given to the player that the coaches feel was the Best Defensive player in the division.

This award is decided upon by all the coaches in the division and is given to the individual that the coaches feel was the Most Improved person in the division.

This award is decided upon by all the coaches in the division and is given to the individual that the coaches feel was the Most Sportsmanlike person in the division.

This award is decided upon by all the coaches in the division and is given to the goalie that the coaches feel was the Most Valuable Goalie in the division.

This award is decided upon by all the coaches in the division and is given to the player that the coaches feel was the Most Valuable Player in the division.

This award is decided upon by all the coaches in the division and is given to the player that the coaches feel was the Top Playmaker for the season.
