FRED KILGOUR AWARD
Fred Kilgour
Fred Kilgour was elected President for the 2002-2003 season, spent many, many years as Treasurer, looked after the Select program, and was the key figure behind our Mite and Bingo programs. The Fred Kilgour Award of Merit was created in 2003 with Fred being the first recipient. This award is given yearly to the individual (not a player) who "exemplifies the ideals, spirit and enthusiasm that Fred contributed over his many years of service".

    James Mongeon
    U11 (Atom) House League & U11 Select Coach
    James has coached at RCHC for 6 years, was convenor for 2 years. He is loved by all that he has coached, is very respected by players, coaches and officials. He spends many hours at the rink with his house league teams, selects teams and pitching in at clinics when needed. He spends many hours researching the perfect drills so that everyone on his teams feel like they are part of the team while improving all skill levels. His coaching methods bring our the best in any player he works with.

This Player award is given to a deserving player, one who has shown dedication to the club through play and volunteering, ensuring all players enjoy the best experience at Red Circle who meets the criteria below: *is 15 years of age or over *plays for Red Circle *volunteers for Red Circle The selected player will receive free registration for next season.
  • Maddy Elston
    CARLING HEIGHTS OPTIMIST
    Maddy Elston has been a huge asset to the mite program over the past 2 years by providing on ice help our newest and youngest skaters. These past 2 years were especially hard due to the lockdowns and many kids having never put on skates before. Maddy spent numerous hours laying on the ice with upset players and helping them get motivated and on their feet.
