FRED KILGOUR AWARD
Fred Kilgour
Fred Kilgour was elected President for the 2002-2003 season, spent many, many years as Treasurer, looked after the Select program, and was the key figure behind our Mite and Bingo programs. The Fred Kilgour Award of Merit was created in 2003 with Fred being the first recipient. This award is given yearly to the individual (not a player) who "exemplifies the ideals, spirit and enthusiasm that Fred contributed over his many years of service".

    Ken Coombs
    Coach & Member of the Board
    Congratulations to Ken Coombs, a long time coach and board member with the Red Circle hockey Club on being presented the 2022-2023 Fred Kilgour Award at the coaches banquet on April 3rd. Ken has coached every single division at one point or another and when he walks through the arena there are constantly kids saying hi because everyone knows Coach Ken. Ken upholds Red Circle values every time that he is on the ice. He cares more about the kids and having fun than he does the win.

    James Mongeon
    U11 (Atom) House League & U11 Select Coach
    James has coached at RCHC for 6 years, was convenor for 2 years. He is loved by all that he has coached, is very respected by players, coaches and officials. He spends many hours at the rink with his house league teams, selects teams and pitching in at clinics when needed. He spends many hours researching the perfect drills so that everyone on his teams feel like they are part of the team while improving all skill levels. His coaching methods bring our the best in any player he works with.
