Red Circle Selects Program (Red Circle Hockey Club)

PrintRed Circle Selects Program

Red Circle Hockey Club provides a safe and fun hockey experience for all London & Area youth.  Red Circle has been an integral part of London’s hockey community for over fifty years and to this day, continues to uphold its commitment to “Equal Opportunity, Regardless of Ability”.

What is the Selects Program?

The Selects program is an opportunity for youth (U9-U18) to experience a more competitive, travelling type of hockey.  This program is a step-up from our house league program for those who have a higher skill level and the desire to play in a slightly more competitive environment.

The Select program allows those players to continue to develop their skills in our house league but also offers them an additional practice each week, specialized hockey development opportunities, exhibition games and 3 tournaments throughout the year with our partner Select teams in Barrie, Erin and Toronto.

Schedule:

Our goal is to provide each division (U9-U18) at least 1 competitive level game per month in addition to the house league schedule, in some cases they may have more.  They have 2 practices per week (1 house league and 1 selects) when an exhibition game has not been scheduled.  What does this mean – it means they will have 3 ice times per week.   The schedule throughout the year also accounts for specialized hockey development clinics for the players and goalies with our external partners.
